Update

Good evening! Brent's is doing good all things considered. He has been feeling ok since getting his first iv treatment. They are giving him 3 iv treatments of 500 mg methaprednisone and then sending him home on a prednisone taper. The plan is to get out of here early afternoon tomorrow! So hopefully God has the same plan ! Thanks to everyone who has extended themselves, well wishes, prayers, love and support!!

Hi ho hi ho it's off to Chicago we go!

We received a call this evening from Brent's doctor stating he is in rejection. So...we headed back up to Chicago. We got here at 9. The doctor was just in and they are going to do a really high dose steroid for a few days and then send us home on a steroid taper. Thanks for all the continued prayers!!

Home sweet home!!!

It's always a good felling to go home from the hospital. We got home last night at 9:30. Doctors say this episode was all from the pneumonia he has. Thanks so much for the continued prayers!! God is so good!!

Its not until those plans are turned upside down that we once again are brought to our knees and reminded that God has the only true plans for us! Yesterday was a prime example of this at our house. Brent and I both went to work and we were planning a relaxing evening at home together just the two of us (and our furry guy, Diesel). Well God had different plans for us. At about 2 yesterday afternoon Brent spiked a fever, got body aches, headache and chills to the point he was physically shaking. Once he got home and took his temperature it was 102.4 and still he had all the symptoms he had at 2 that afternoon. After a couple phone calls to our people up here in Chicago it was decided that we go up to Loyola ER. We arrived here at 10ish and let's just say it was a long night! We got in a room about 11:45, labs...
