Chicago Stay

Good morning. We went to Chicago on Wends for Brent's 5th bronchoscopy. That went smoothly besides starting like 1 1/2 hours later than scheduled. He got labs & a chest x-ray done while he was there also. For supper we met our great friends Hester and Gordon at their house. We had a wonderful time with them! Great Food, Great Friends, Great Memories. We stayed over night at our usual hotel..Our "Home away from Home". We seen Dr. Welch (sinus surgery Doc) and he cleaned him all out again. We go back to him next Thrusday as well for another "clean out". Because of his CF he heals slower and this Dr. wants to stay on top of things, which is great! The nurse called him on Thrusday and said there is no sign of rejection and everything looks good from the bronchoscopy. Praising God for what He has done in our lives!

Update

Ok so it's been week since I updated you all! Monday we went to chicago for a check up with his post transplant Dr & his diabetes Dr. Everythings went awesome! Dr. Alex (lung dr.) told us everything is really good, he blew his highest pulmonary function test ever and Dr. told him he is breathing almost like a normal person(someone with out CF)!! That was the highlight of our day...it was awesome! God continues to amaze us. Dr. Mazuri....(diabetes Dr.) told us he pretty much barely has diabetes and he is on meds for it but it's like barely anything. She wants to do a few blood test and she did a bone density scan to keep everything updated and to make sure nothing as changed. Today we leave at about 12:30 for Chicago for a follow up with his Sinus surgery dr. (Dr. Welch). He will hopefully pull all the packing out so he won't have so much pressure or headaches! We will be home tonight. It's amazing to be on this side of things. We worried everyday once he was on t...

Which I have not problem keeping busy due to haveing this computer...it such a help to pass the time when I need to...and sadly when I don't!! Thanks for all the prayers again! They help me stay calm through everthing that comes our way because I Know that God is near us!

Chicago update

We made it to Chicago this morning right on time even though we had fog at the beginning of our trip up it soon cleared up! He got a CT of his sinuses for the Dr.'s that will do his surgery tomorrow. Then this afternoon we went to see Dr. Love. There really isn't much different with him. They kept asking us why we were there to see him....I think he just likes to see us! Most people that get transplants only follow up with him once. Since Brent had some complications with his bronchials and Dr. Love had to do them a couple times I think he just wants to keep tabs on him. He was super impressed with his progress and how well he is doing-he is right on target as to where he should be at this time. We are going back to see him again in December to check up after he has his sinus surgery tomorrow. As of right now we are scheduled to be at the hospital in the morning at 9. Dr. Love did do a chest x-ray just to see how things were and the x-ray looks great still...praise God! It'...
