I have got a spot on the Right where you type in your e-mail account to get e-mails to notify when I update this blog for Brent! Hope this helps everyone..so you don't have to remember the long website. I did call up to Chicago yesterday and talked to the transplant nurse coordinator . She told me that Brent is 4 th on the list but one of the people ahead of him is pretty short so technically he is 3rd. Loyola Hospital has currently done #599 lung transplants at their facility-this is the most one hospital has done in the nation! So we feel confident in the Dr's and nurses up there...but we are mostly confident in our God. The one who has this whole thing in His hands! In which we are truly thankful for! Brent's pleurisy has flared back up again. He has to stay on his pain medications constantly or he is in a lot of pain. He has been short of breath this week but we aren't for sure what is causing that to happen more out of the blue. Please don't be afraid to leav...

We were blessed to be with our close friends last night for supper. We had a very enjoyable time-thanks guys! We are going to my grandparents for supper tonight-it's been great to spend time with people we don't see as much as we would like to. Rachel and I took mom to paint pottery last week...I have pictures I will show you later. Brent's been feeling OK. Coughing up blood still off and on but the Dr told us not to worry about it unless it's like a cup of blood. There really isn't much else new with his health or the transplant list-I wish I had more to tell you! We want to send prayers out to Rebekah & Geoffery Guth as their little baby is back in the hospital...Please pray for them! God gives us each different trials and tests...but we learn and grow closer to God and each other through them! Thanks to everyone that has given Brent tapes/CD's to listen too...it has been a help for him! Hope everyone has a blessed week! Trudy
Hope everyone had an enjoyable Valentine's Day with their spouse or friends. Brent and I went for supper last night and he gave me some beautiful roses! We are truly thankful for every day we have to be together! Blessings to you all! Brent & Trudy

Ok I told you I would show you a picture of the cake I made for my mom's 50 th . I know it's 4:30 in the morning and I am posting on here...but I can't sleep! My mom's first car was a yellow bug-so that's the kind of cake I made her for her birthday ! **If any of you are still having problems being able to get updates automatically or knowing how to post let me know...this is new to all of us! Send me an e-mail and let me know. I will do what I can to make this easier for all of you! Have an enjoyable weekend!
We had an appointment with Brent's pulmonologist today at 2 up in Chicago. It went well for the most part. They had done a bone density test to check his bones out and they said he has osteoporosis in his lower back and osteopenia (the start of osteoporosis) in his neck. They want him to take a calcium supplement everyday and they want him to EAT EAT EAT!!! So we are trying to be creative in his diet area to find ways he can get extra calories. His lung function was about the same not much different there. He is going to get a hearing test done the next time we go up there for an appointment. He has been having a hard time hearing....I just figured he was just not wanting to hear me...HA! Since he has been taking Tobrymyacin (antibiotic) for years that can effect your hearing, along with his family history and working around large equipment his whole life. It was good to go up there today. Some days when we go up it seems pointless because the Dr's don't change anything ...
