another week, more docs and more tests

I can't believe it has been two weeks since our last post. Between both of us working late hours (Trudy is at the bloomington OSF convenient care, I am helping our neighbor during harvest)and keeping up with doctor visits time gets away from us. We literaly have been going to chicago every week. The last two weeks shave been busy, like I said. We got our test results from the Sept. 29th bronchoscapy. They showed no rejection but there was signs of a small infection. They did a CT scan and prescribed a 10 day antibiotic that should take care of it. We will do another CT and bronchoscapy in mid November. On the 12th we went to the transplant clinic. We did blood work and breathing tests. We talked about coming off or lowering some meds because we are coming up on the 6 month post transplant mark. This is great because less meds means less side effects. My breathing test where up some, I now can breath 70-75% of a normal person. We decided it was a good idea to get the flu shot and th...

So...a lot has been going on with us, I just have failed to update. It's been busy and our internet is acting up-Gotta love it! Last friday night our little nephew turned one...that was great fun. Here are some pictures: Our Neice Katie and her dad enjoying some bonding time! Saturday night we went to the 1st annual Breath Of Life Gala in Peoria, for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. It was a great hit and Brent & I enjoyed our evening together at this black tie event. Mom Blunier went with us to this event as well-it was very neat to be there. There was a man there that spoke about being out of transplant for a year now and he is doing great-he had his transplant Dec. of 2008 in Iowa City. Brent was also able to see his cysitc fibrosis pediatrition when we were there. He was honored for an award that evening. It was great meeting him and his staff-super great guy.
