Chicago appts & more updates

Monday we went to Chicago for Dr's appt .'s. The Stomach Dr. said things are going well and as long as he isn't having this stomach pains at 6 weeks post his stomach surgery then things are going great. If he is still having the stomach pain then the Dr. will go in and stretch the opening in which they just made smaller-but the Dr. highly doubts he will have to do this since he has never had to and Brent would be the first. We seen the dietitian next and that was really interesting for both of us. She taught us how we should shop for foods and whats good and all that stuff. So that was great to know now I can go to the grocery store and know what I am looking at when I look at the daily value %. Brent then had a CT scan done in which was for some reason scheduled & then cancelled so that was kind of a mess so while he cleaned that up and waited the 1 hr to get this done I ran over to the hospital to visit one of our dear friends. Brent made it to 30!!! Praise the Lord!

Brent had an awesome 30 th birthday this weekend. Thanks friends & family for coming-he was truly surprised ! I wish I had pictures for you...I will soon. I planned the surprise birthday party for Saturday night & Sunday we had supper with M & D Blunier & than cake & ice cream at M & D Zimmerman's after our church Christmas program. We had a super weekend! Looking back from Brent's childhood. It's just amazing how far he has gotten. They first told him he would be luck if he made it to 15-18 then he would be luck to make it to 20 and then 30 and here we are today. God has been especially good in Brent's life-he is so blessed to be where he is today and truly experiencing the "breath of fresh air" that we all use as slang at times. We have so so much to be thankful for and if it wasn't for our great God we wouldn't be here today! Everyday continues to be a gift! Tomorrow we head back up to Chicago for follow ups with our Dr...

Oh the weather outside is frightful...but the fire is so delightful!

Well we had a wonderful anniversary on the 3rd besides Brent being in some slight pain. We were blessed to spend the day together in Chicago-we cherish those days that we have to ourselves-just being together. Brent's been feeling pretty good and is recovering well from his stomach surgery. He is back to work helping his dad in the fields and is going back to Altorfer in Clinton this week some time to discuss job openings-which he is looking forward to. I was so excited to see the snow again...it's just like reliving our childhood when we would wake up and look out to see if we had snow yet...Brent reminds me often of the silly things I get excited for! I am so blessed to have such a wonderful loving husband that loves me for who I am and cares for me everyday. God has blessed us richly! Hope you all have a blessed Christmas season! Trudy
