The 'Adventures' in life
Last night Brent started having abdominal pain. Thinking it was just gas pains he waited it out through the night. As of 5 this morning it wasn't better so we decided to go to st joe ER in Bloomington. They did a CT and it showed a kinked bowel. This is common to happen after an abdominal surgery. Because of his recent abdominal surgery he had in June they decide it would be best to send him up to Chicago. So they placed an NG tube in him and transported him by ambulance to Loyola. In the process of getting him prepped to go to Chicago I ran home & got our things and headed up. We have just now been placed in a room up on 5 tower here at Loyola (AKA ' our second home')right now the plan is to keep the NG tube (tube in through his nose to his stomach) in hopes that his bowel will straighten itself back out. If it does straighten out then they will remove the NG tube, give him food & send us home. If it does not straighten out then they will have to cut him open and do surgery to straighten it out.
We are both pretty bummed because we had plans to leave for a short vacation to Kentucky tonight through Monday, evidently God had other plans.
We just pray that things will straighten out and we can go back home....maybe even tomorrow!
You are in our thoughts and prayers that things will STRAIGHTEN out. Love to you both. A. C & U. R.
