We are coming home today!!






April fools!
Today is a great day! Brent got his oxygen off today straight from 3 liters. Nurses were suppose to be tapering him down the last couple days but haven't so when Dr came in this morning she took him off. He is now back on the oxygen because he was getting SOB, probably because he was pulled off so fast. So we will see what they do about that. His labs are looking better! Platelets are 110 today which is awesome! His Hgb is 6.1 so they gave him one unit of blood. His kidney function still isn't great but his output is good!
Brent's parents came up today and surprised us by bringing Grandma Blunier and U. Keith with them so we have had a nice visit today!
We are hoping to come home before mid week but we will see what the Dr's think!

Dr. Alex was just in. Nothing really new. Pretty much just waiting for those tubes to come out. He explained his meds and when we will need to come back for appt's with him etc. He is one of the nicest Dr's that we have...I say one of because we many that are nice! It's OVER!!!...so far!

He is out of surgery and everything went GREAT!!! It's awesome!!! We are so truly thankful for all that has come over the past hours! He should be extubated by the end of today. I will let you know more when I know!

Good evening! First thing this morning we went to Chicago to meet with the Dr who will be over seeing Brent’s photopheresis treatments. We had all of our questions answered and are hopeful that the treatments will work.  His first treatment will be Thursday morning of this week and we will have to go again on Friday. The treatments have to be done in Chicago and-we were glad to hear-the treatment will only be 2 hrs long!! The one side effects he has is that he can’t be exposed to the sun the first 24 hrs after treatment. This is because they use UV light in the treatment and it takes 24 hrs for his body to absorb any excess of the UV sensitive drug that may be in his body.    Other than that he should feel the same as usual!  He was also scheduled to get a port (under the skin) placed today.
