Maybe going home soon....
Dr. Gagemeier was here this morning. He told us that all the cultures have come back and they are clear for infection, rejection and lymphoma at this time. There is still that possibility of infection or lymphoma but as of now the test shows all those negative. Needless to say that Dr's are stumped as to what is truly going on with him. The final results of the biopsies and cultures won't be back probable until the end of the week. There is a strong possibility that they will pull his chest tube out tomorrow. Once that is removed we are free to come home, unless something else would come up for some unforeseen reason. He is feeling really pretty well. His pain is still there but is mostly just where the chest tube is inserted in his back...thank goodness for morphine and norco! They are God's gift for Brent's pain!
We can both say we will be glad to be back home and be able to sleep in our own beds and be able to sleep well! Last night I was awake at 1 am and by 2 I decided to text Brent...he was wide awake as well...so I got to talk to him in the middle of the night!...finally 4 am came and I was back to sleep..then I go back to the house and sleep for a couple to three hours in the afternoon...I should probable stop that...but it feels great!!
Anyway most of all we want to thank you all for the prayers and support...some of the notes I have received have brought many tears to my eyes. We look forward to every message we receive...it keeps us going from day to day! Love to you all! Also want to thank our friends for coming up and spending time with us...that means SO much that yous would make the effort to come and visit! Also to our families for being here for us during times or need! Most of all to our awesome neighbors (our other family) for being our watch dogs for us while we are gone and for everything they do to keep things are in order back home! We love you all!!!
