The Sun Will Shine

Well everything is the same as yesterday so far. But they did let him eat real food yesterday which was a big step for him...he was getting pretty hungry. They have had him on fluids through IV only for like 5 days so the sight of real food was welcomed with open arms and growling stomachs!!
It's glorious to see the sunshine. The song comes to mind with these lyrics:
They sun will shine the sun will shine.
Soon God's rainbow will appear the sun will shine.

Through all of this these past days...I know the sun will shine and the rainbow will appear...it's just getting through this storm and clouds or darkness right now!
Please keep Brent & The dr's in your prayers!

    Just wanted to let you guys know that you are definitely in my prayers - praying for a miracle - and knowing that Jesus will carry you through whatever trials He allows to come your way - and remembering, that like you mentioned.. no matter how dark the clouds ahead are, there is SUNSHINE on the other side.

Dr. Alex was just in. Nothing really new. Pretty much just waiting for those tubes to come out. He explained his meds and when we will need to come back for appt's with him etc. He is one of the nicest Dr's that we have...I say one of because we many that are nice! It's OVER!!!...so far!

He is out of surgery and everything went GREAT!!! It's awesome!!! We are so truly thankful for all that has come over the past hours! He should be extubated by the end of today. I will let you know more when I know!

Good evening! First thing this morning we went to Chicago to meet with the Dr who will be over seeing Brent’s photopheresis treatments. We had all of our questions answered and are hopeful that the treatments will work.  His first treatment will be Thursday morning of this week and we will have to go again on Friday. The treatments have to be done in Chicago and-we were glad to hear-the treatment will only be 2 hrs long!! The one side effects he has is that he can’t be exposed to the sun the first 24 hrs after treatment. This is because they use UV light in the treatment and it takes 24 hrs for his body to absorb any excess of the UV sensitive drug that may be in his body.    Other than that he should feel the same as usual!  He was also scheduled to get a port (under the skin) placed today.
