From the snowy city!

Well still no biopsy results and so still no concrete treatment. The lab sent the biopsies to an outside lab to be looked at closer. They are looking to have the results back by Thursday AT THE SOONEST! Please please pray that God will provide once more when the results come back they the dr's will have clear answers and clear way of treating Brent for whatever is going to go on. They are talking of letting us leave tomorrow but we will see...one day at a time...never know what tomorrow will bring! I thought we learned patience with the lung transplant process but this is truly trying both of ours' patience! Please continue to just pray for God to continue to pave the way ahead of us through our travels.

Dr. Alex was just in. Nothing really new. Pretty much just waiting for those tubes to come out. He explained his meds and when we will need to come back for appt's with him etc. He is one of the nicest Dr's that we have...I say one of because we many that are nice! It's OVER!!!...so far!

He is out of surgery and everything went GREAT!!! It's awesome!!! We are so truly thankful for all that has come over the past hours! He should be extubated by the end of today. I will let you know more when I know!

Good evening! First thing this morning we went to Chicago to meet with the Dr who will be over seeing Brent’s photopheresis treatments. We had all of our questions answered and are hopeful that the treatments will work.  His first treatment will be Thursday morning of this week and we will have to go again on Friday. The treatments have to be done in Chicago and-we were glad to hear-the treatment will only be 2 hrs long!! The one side effects he has is that he can’t be exposed to the sun the first 24 hrs after treatment. This is because they use UV light in the treatment and it takes 24 hrs for his body to absorb any excess of the UV sensitive drug that may be in his body.    Other than that he should feel the same as usual!  He was also scheduled to get a port (under the skin) placed today.
