Oh the weather outside is frightful...but the fire is so delightful!

Well we had a wonderful anniversary on the 3rd besides Brent being in some slight pain. We were blessed to spend the day together in Chicago-we cherish those days that we have to ourselves-just being together. Brent's been feeling pretty good and is recovering well from his stomach surgery. He is back to work helping his dad in the fields and is going back to Altorfer in Clinton this week some time to discuss job openings-which he is looking forward to.
I was so excited to see the snow again...it's just like reliving our childhood when we would wake up and look out to see if we had snow yet...Brent reminds me often of the silly things I get excited for! I am so blessed to have such a wonderful loving husband that loves me for who I am and cares for me everyday. God has blessed us richly! Hope you all have a blessed Christmas season!

    Hi you two..........Happy Annivery a couple days late! I love the new picture, I too like snow, it's so pretty and pure. Bob makes fun of me too. He always brings up things like, you don't have to scoop it, etc. :)

Dr. Alex Rounds

Dr. Alex was just in. Nothing really new. Pretty much just waiting for those tubes to come out. He explained his meds and when we will need to come back for appt's with him etc. He is one of the nicest Dr's that we have...I say one of because we many that are nice! It's OVER!!!...so far!

He is out of surgery and everything went GREAT!!! It's awesome!!! We are so truly thankful for all that has come over the past hours! He should be extubated by the end of today. I will let you know more when I know!

Good evening! First thing this morning we went to Chicago to meet with the Dr who will be over seeing Brent’s photopheresis treatments. We had all of our questions answered and are hopeful that the treatments will work.  His first treatment will be Thursday morning of this week and we will have to go again on Friday. The treatments have to be done in Chicago and-we were glad to hear-the treatment will only be 2 hrs long!! The one side effects he has is that he can’t be exposed to the sun the first 24 hrs after treatment. This is because they use UV light in the treatment and it takes 24 hrs for his body to absorb any excess of the UV sensitive drug that may be in his body.    Other than that he should feel the same as usual!  He was also scheduled to get a port (under the skin) placed today.
