Suprises and minus 1 Tube!!!
What a glorious day! The sun is shining, we had a surprise and Brent has one less chest tube!!
It's so good to see the sun shining since the last few days it's been raining and storming! I haven't been out in it but it does help to make the room not so gloomy!
Dad & Brent out for a stroll...this is the hospital...not a hotel...even though it looks that way!!
Our surprise was my Dad and Grandpa & Grandma Schmidgall! It was great to have them here for the mid day! We had a wonderful time! Thanks so much Dad for the fun surprise! We all enjoyed it!
Brent got one of his tubes pulled today at noon! YEAH!!!...it didn't exactly feel yeah at the time for him but now that it's been a few hours it's better. Thankfully he didn't shake any walls he was really tough and did really well through it! He did better than I think I would have done! I am very proud of him! Pretty much they go one...two...three and they pull out the tube!...it sounds as painful as it is really! But what is it that they say..no pain no gain...this is true right now! This is the gal who pulls out his tubes...she does her best not to be painful!

The Dr's rounded this morning ...jeepers...so late too...man Dr. Dilling those babies must be keeping you up at night!! HA!!! I had to say that! Dr Dilling is the Dr second from the left...see him...right there...yeah that's the one...he Brent's Dr. that's checking on him during the day....(Dr. Dilling you can now say you have some fame!!!) These are all the people that come and check on Brent through out the day minus the respiratory therapists and nurses. We are thankful to have such an amazing team seeing Brent! They are all great!

Not sure when he will get that other tube out could be tomorrow or could be Friday...we don't know for sure. Brent's family is planing to come up on Friday and his mom and dad will be here late tomorrow. We are looking forward to their visits!
Love to all-Trudy & Brent

Trudy & Brent-
ReplyDeleteSO Happy to see the pics of Grandma & Grandpa Schmidgall, have been waiting to she your update for today. I know they where very glad to get to make the trip North. They look like they had a GREAT visit. Grandma did good at getting Grandpa garbed up for the visit. We will have to start calling him Dr. Shmidgall & her nurse Schmidgall. They look soooo cutie (or as Glo would say Cutie Patootie :))It's great news to hear Brent that you are minus one more chest tube. Just keep walking and you'll get to walk back home to us all really soon. Oh don't forget to eat all your veggies :)
Love Always, A. Chris & U. Ron, too!
Trudy, it is so interesting to follow your blog, and we truly rejoice with you in Brent's progress! Brent, you look so good! It is humbling isn't it to be recipients of God's divine blessing. We will continue to keep you in our prayers, that the healing process can continue and that Brent will enjoy "normal" breathing soon!!
ReplyDeleteLove In Christ, Pete and Debbie Aberle
Rejoicing with you all the way!
