More Pictures!.....

These are new pics we took today! Fun times! Brent was able to get up and go for a walk for some fresh air this afternoon . When we were heading back up to his room in walked Teresa and Bruce to see Brent! Other than that...nothing new going on. They took him off of the non rebreather and on the canula. He can still use the non rebreather when he gets really short of breath. So it's still hooked up but they don't want him to depend on it. The resp. therapist told us that too much O2 can make his lungs "stiff". So we don't want that! Here are the pics....

Dr. Alex was just in. Nothing really new. Pretty much just waiting for those tubes to come out. He explained his meds and when we will need to come back for appt's with him etc. He is one of the nicest Dr's that we have...I say one of because we many that are nice! It's OVER!!!...so far!

He is out of surgery and everything went GREAT!!! It's awesome!!! We are so truly thankful for all that has come over the past hours! He should be extubated by the end of today. I will let you know more when I know!

Good evening! First thing this morning we went to Chicago to meet with the Dr who will be over seeing Brent’s photopheresis treatments. We had all of our questions answered and are hopeful that the treatments will work.  His first treatment will be Thursday morning of this week and we will have to go again on Friday. The treatments have to be done in Chicago and-we were glad to hear-the treatment will only be 2 hrs long!! The one side effects he has is that he can’t be exposed to the sun the first 24 hrs after treatment. This is because they use UV light in the treatment and it takes 24 hrs for his body to absorb any excess of the UV sensitive drug that may be in his body.    Other than that he should feel the same as usual!  He was also scheduled to get a port (under the skin) placed today.
